HDNABI Enters North American Brake Market

Yon Yu, chief executive officer of HDNABI has announced the formation of a new, privately held North American company, HDNABI North America Brake Industry, which will manufacture air disc brake and axle system packages for heavy-duty vehicles.

On May 1, 2019, HDNABI will begin assembling a new technology-based air disc brake and axle system in its manufacturing facility, located just outside of Atlanta, Georgia.

“We’ve been building tested, trusted and proven heavy-duty braking systems for a leading Korean-based automotive company and have recently worked with Hyundai Translead to test and certify HDNABI component system performance,” said Yu. “So, expanding to serve the entire North American heavy-duty vehicle market is a natural next step.”

HDNABI products will offer a high-end trailer system, with features such as Stemco Platinum Performance System wheel end components with a focus on providing a competitive value to close the price gap between ADB systems and current drum brakes.

The company also announced that Dave McInnis has joined HDNABI North America Brake Industry as the vice president of sales. McInnis has more than 30 years in the heavy-duty transportation industry, holding a variety of sales and management leadership roles.

Prior to joining HDNABI, he served as the OEM account sales manager for SAF Holland, the business development manager for Stemco LP, the director of sales for MGM Brakes, and a product manager for Rockwell International Corp.
